There's no such thing as too many positive stories in topics that you're interested about. Women aren't saying they have too many supportive friends to travel with and share tips and recommendations. At least that's not what we're hearing.
We're hearing that women want to find communities to join and feel a part of something special. We want memorable experiences that provide stories that last a lifetime. We want to find new ways to safely explore the outdoors and build our knowledge, skills, and friend group. That's what Outside Women is about.
Outside Women women is an online publication connecting women who love the outdoors with communities, stories, and advice from other women.
"I created Outside Women as an inspiring place for women to go online and find advice and stories that they can resonate with, that speaks to them, and gives them some encouragement from other women's experiences," said Jenna Goldberg, Editor-in-Chief of Outside Women.
"Every year more women are taking an interest in outdoor recreation and also I think each year it's getting harder for women to find communities and others to connect with. This online publication is the intersection of the two and I'm proud to offer a creative outlet for women to share their stories."
Website and brand development for Outside Women began in 2024 and launched in early 2025. Outside Women is created by women, for women, and operates on a contribution system. Our writers and editors contribute and share their real-life experiences and stories to inspire others using a creative and engaging platform. Outside Women creators include passionate women surfers and skiers, published authors, and outdoor recreation community leaders.
Across all articles, readers experience a friendly, relatable sisterhood energy, talking with friends, swapping advice, and sharing inspiring words of encouragement. Outside Women readers seek bliss and excitement in their lives and have their sights set on finding new ways to explore the outdoors and feel connected to something bigger than themselves.
The platform is an online destination for women seeking recommendations, tips, and stories of other women's experiences exploring the outdoors. The website includes articles on topics like hiking, skiing, snowboarding, climbing, surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, adventure travel and camping from a woman's perspective.
